Atlas is a super cute 14.2hh 6-year-old buckskin Quarter Horse gelding that is very safe for the whole family. We've owned Atlas for the past few years and did a little bit of everything with him. We've worked cows at the Ranch, participated in 4H fun shows, and went trail riding with him. Atlas is so much trusted that we would let kids ride with him or put the child on Atlas's back and take off. He is extremely patient and easygoing. Atlas is very friendly and enjoys being around people. He's easy to catch and handle. He stands quietly in the cross ties, is easy to clip, wash, and bathe. He's very calm when being tacked up and always stands perfectly still to be mounted. He will even lay down or step over to a mounting block to make it easy for you to get on. Honestly, we should have named him Easy because everything with him is just that! Atlas rides off very calmly and is perfectly fine with walking all day. He has a smooth jog that's easy on anyone's back and a canter to die for! He can lope as slowly as you want, giving you a smooth, rocking chair-like ride. Atlas has a soft mouth and handles very well. He responds well to whoa and back commands. He neck reins like a pro, so riding with one hand is very easy. Atlas is a laid-back trail horse; he will put his head down and go at whatever speed you want, paying no mind to what anyone or anything else is doing. He is very sure-footed and can handle all types of terrain and obstacles with ease, including water, fallen trees, and slippery rocks. Atlas is also safe around traffic and ATVs.
